Pakistan continues to deny visa to Jadhav’s mother
Pakistan continues to deny India access to the accused spy Kulbhushan Jadhav.
New Delhi has requested Islamabad 16 times so for to allow it access to the accused Indian naval officer.
Islamabad has also not responded to request by Jadhav’s mother Avantika to give her visa so that she can visit her son.
In his media briefi ng on Thursday, External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Gopal Baglay said that Pakistan has not intimated India about any change in its position on visa for Jadhav’s mother.
About the reports in the Pakistani media that Islamabad was weighing the options of granting visa to Jadhav’s mother, Bagley said India has received no official information so far.
The MEA spokesperson said the ball was in the court of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) now. India moved the ICJ in May after the Pakistani military court handed down the death sentence to Jadhav.
The ICJ asked Pakistan not to go ahead with the death sentence.
