Canadian authorities grill Nijjar, a ‘Most Wanted Khalistani’
New Delhi: ‘Most Wanted Khalistani’ Hardip Singh Nijjar was rounded up by the Canadian authorities for allegedly running camps to train the terrorists.
Nijjar was nabbed for his alleged links with Pakistan’s notorious spy agency Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), mediaperson reported.
The Punjab Police have declared Nijjar as one of the ‘most wanted Khalistanis’. Nijjar’s name was in the list of nine wanted Khalistanis handed by Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh to Canadian PM Justin Trudeau during his India visit last month.
Babushahi.com reported that Nijjar was rounded up following crucial intelligence input provided by the India government. He was released after questioning and has been kept under vigil for his anti-India activities.
Notably, Punjab Police had alleged that Nijjar was holding camps in British Columbia to train terrorists on behalf of the Pakistani spy agency ISI. Howerver, Nijjar had denied the allegations terming them baseless. He had threatened to initiate legal course for his safety.
