Mississauga, Brampton men identified as victims in fatal crash in Thunder Bay
Two men —Singh Gurpreet, a 23-year-old from Mississauga, and Singh Karambir, a 24-year-old from Brampton, were among the victims identified in a fatal crash in Thunder Bay on Thursday, Jan. 9. GoFundMe page created to help victim’s families.
Around 10:30 p.m. that evening, Ontario Provincial Police said three men were pronounced dead after two commercial vehicles collided in a head-on collision on Hwy. 11/17.
Both were came as Students from Amritsar District. According to reports coming, accident happened due to Black ice. Both Trucks crashed with each other and got out of Control because of Black ice. Unfortunately one Truck caught fire in which Singh Gurpreet, a 23-year-old from Mississauga, and Singh Karambir, a 24-year-old from Brampton died because they can’t make their way out of fire. Both the students are working as a team driver on Truck.
Another Truck’s drivers also died in this fatal truck crash accident.
Police said Singh Gurpreet, a 23-year-old from Mississauga, and Singh Karambir, a 24-year-old from Brampton, were in a vehicle travelling eastbound while Kenneth MacDonald, a 49-year-old from Thunder Bay, was travelling westbound.
OPP is investigating the incident, which resulted in a closure on the highway for 13 hours.
Meanwhile, a GoFundMe account has been created to assist the families of Gurpreet and Karambir.
