Brampton Man Arrested for Robbery with a Firearm
Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a 20-year-old Brampton man in relation to a robbery investigation.
On Tuesday, January 21, 2020, the victim, a 23 year old man from Toronto was in the area of Mayfield Road and Airport Road in the City of Brampton when he was approached by the suspect and robbed of personal property and a quantity of money. The suspect brandished an Uzi replica paintball gun at the time of the robbery.
The victim suffered no physical injuries.
The suspect has been identified as Jahsun Taylor and on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 members of the 21 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau with assistance from the Tactical and K9 Unit executed a search warrant at a Brampton address.
Jahsun Taylor was located within the residence and has been charged with Robbery with a firearm. Property belonging to the victim was recovered as well as the replica firearm. He was held for a bail hearing and he will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on Thursday, January 23, 2020.
