Two Brampton teens have had their cars impounded and licences suspended after Caledon OPP said they clocked them going 86 km over the speed limit on Feb. 24.
Police said two vehicles were “side-by-side” racing at 156 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone at Torbram Road south of Mayfield Road, around 10:30 p.m.
The drivers, who were 17 and 18, are charged with race a motor vehicle — excessive speed.
The charges have not been proven in court.
Both cars were impounded and driver’s licences suspended for seven days. The teens will appear at Caledon’s Provincial Offences Act court on March 30.
