Radio Humsafar starts its journey in the GTA with 1350AM
Brampton: Radio Humsafar, being broadcasted for the last 30 years in Montreal, has started its journey in the GTA with its new station ‘CIRF 1350 AM’.
Mr. Jasvir Singh Sandhu and Mr. Avtar Singh Sandhu (both brothers) are pioneers of the radio broadcasting business of the South Asian community in Montreal. They have been working very hard for the last five years to set up a new station for the South Asian community in the GTA.
Now ‘On Air’ since March 16th, CIRF 1350 will serve in 11 different languages, 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week.
Mr. Jasvir Singh Sandhu stated that many experienced and well-known producers/hosts of South Asian community in the GTA have already joined him, and that they have started producing their shows for a daily and weekly basis.
Mr. Sandhu also stated that he and his team in Montreal started this broadcasting journey in 1990, and now they have three Radio frequencies in the region which also include the French language radio station.
As of now, Mr. Sandhu concluded that he is very content with the response he is getting from the South Asian and particularly Punjabi community living in Brampton and Mississauga and other adjoining cities.
