CIBC partners with World Vision to provide relief for Cyclone victims in India
TORONTO, July 13, 2020 – In response to the tragic events of Cyclone Amphan, CIBC has announced a partnership with World Vision to provide relief for those affected in West Bengal, India.
As a way of showing support, CIBC will donate a portion of the revenue generated from Global Money Transfer transactions sent to India to the World Vision Disaster Relief Fund, in addition to offering a special exchange rate that will allow clients to maximize their contributions to family and friends who were impacted by the natural disaster.
“India is the largest outbound remittance destination for international money transfers for thousands of CIBC clients, and we hope this allows our clients to seamlessly support loved ones affected by the disaster,” said Vineet Malhotra, MD and Head, Alternate Solutions Group & Retail Solutions Group, CIBC.
Clients will also receive a cash back offer on their first transfer sent to India. The offer will be available until July 15.
