Result time increases after Covid-19 second wave hits Ontario
Soon after Ontario government’s decision to open new Covid-19 testing locations, there is news that Toronto residents now have to wait for more than 2 days to get their Covid-19 results. According to one of the leading Canadian Media, 77 per cent of residents were receiving test results within 48 hours but that number has since dropped to 44 per cent amid reports of massive lines at assessment centres and an increasing processing backlog in the province’s labs.
In the latest tweet by Toronto Public Health, they are seen insisting people to avoid travelling if not necessary. It remains important to stay home & avoid contact with others if you have one or more symptoms of #COVID19, even if mild, to reduce opportunities for virus spread in our city, tweeted TPH.
.@GovCanHealth continues to advise all Canadians to avoid non-essential travel (e.g. recreational or tourism related). If you’ve travelled recently & are wondering if you may have been exposed to #COVID19, you can find more information here: https://t.co/ghaaqKbnmo pic.twitter.com/935sVnXbj8
