Dead Body of a Young Black Girl Found in Toronto Dumpster

As per Toronto Police, the girl seems to be of African or mixed African descent. It is believed that her remains were dropped at a construction site outside a house in Rosedale somewhere between April 28 and May 2.

Human remains found in the dumpster of a high-end Toronto area belong to a young Black girl. The girl is expected to be between to be between the ages of 4 to 7 years. The police said in its update on Thursday the death of this child could have occurred as back as last summer.

As per Toronto Police, the girl seems to be of African or mixed African descent. It is believed that her remains were dropped at a construction site outside a house in Rosedale somewhere between April 28 and May 2.

The homicide unit of police has taken over the investigation and is now working to identify the girl. The police is also inquiring the missing person unit to cross-referencing databases of missing children across the country in an attempt to discover her identity.

“We are investigating this death at its highest level just like a homicide investigation,” Insp. Hank Idsinga told reporters. “Kids don’t just die,” he added.

When the police was called on the site, they found the child’s body wrapped in a crochet blanket inside a plastic bag, which was again covered in a colourful blanket.

Police described the features of girl as Black young girl, three feet and six inches tall, curly hair sectioned in four short ponytails, braided and tied with black and blue elastics.

A post-mortem exam has been performed on the body on Wednesday, the examiners are yet to disclose the cause behind the death.
