Another victim is said to be severely injured and receiving medical attention but, according to York Regional Police Chief Jim MacSween, is expected to survive.

“We’re in the process right now of doing notifications to those families, so at this point I can’t share any information on the victims or the subject,” MacSween said.

Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) has been notified of the shooting, according to Const. Laura Nicolle.
