This new increase will benefit approximately 200,700 employees, including 111,200 women, according to the Ministry of Labour. Additionally, the minimum hourly wage for tip-receiving employees in Quebec would increase from $12.20 per hour to $12.60 per hour. Furthermore, raspberry pickers in Quebec will be entitled to a minimum payment of $4.68 (currently $4.53 per kg), while strawberry workers will be entitled to a new revised minimum pay of $1.25 per kilogram (currently $1.21 per kg).
