Congress Leader Major Singh Dhaliwal Shot Dead by Woman in Punjab
Congress leader Major Singh Dhaliwal has been shot dead by a woman in Punjab’s Tarn Taran. According to reports, the woman was related to Dhaliwal and killed him for some personal reasons. He was the former Chairman of the Market Committee, Patti.
The incident took place on Monday when a woman fired several shots at Congress leader Major Singh Dhaliwal near a marriage palace owned by him in Sangwa village in the bordering town of Patti. He died after two bullets hit him and the female assailant got away.
Police teams have been dispatched to arrest the suspect. The police also shared that the woman was related to Dhaliwal and that she killed him for personal reasons. As of now, it is unclear if the matter is being investigated further.
Major Singh Dhaliwal was the former Chairman of the Market Committee, Patti during the Congress regime.
