New Zealand versus India Highlights, World Cup Semi-Final: India produced yet another impressive display, defeating New Zealand by 70 runs to advance straight to the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup final, where they will face either Australia or South Africa. After batting first, the side amassed an enormous 397/4 in 50 overs and bowled New Zealand out for 327 in 48.5 overs.

With the ball, Mohammed Shami once again displayed mastery, taking seven of the ten wickets. With his first ball of the mtach, the pacer took the lead and in his very next over, he removed Rachin Ravindra. After the Kiwi innings was restored, Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell put up a third-wicket stand of more than 150 runs. After both batsmen reached their half-centuries, Williamson was removed by Shami at number 52.

However, the bowler redeemed himself as the game progressed and provided India with a double blow. He first removed Williamson for 69(73) and then trapped Tom Latham LBW for 0(2). Mitchell, who has already slammed a ton, then held fort with Glenn Phillips and added over 50 runs for the fifth wicket. Bumrah then got rid of Phillips for 41(33) in the 43rd over, and Kuldeep Yadav removed Mark Chapman in the next over.

After that, Shami utterly dashed New Zealand’s aspirations by dismissing Daryl Mitchell for 134(119) in the 46th over and then taking two more wickets to add to his impressive total.
