India approves Russia’s one-shot Sputnik Light Shots
On 6th February, 2022, India approved the Russian One-shot sputnik light vaccine for that people who have not been vaccinated as of now.

This development has come after 10 months of India approving the Sputnik Light for emergency use. Dr. Reddy’s spokesperson said, “The current restricted use in emergency situation approval from the DCGI (Drugs Controller General of India) to Sputnik Light is for the single-shot standalone vaccine,”
India is currently using AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine with local firm Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and has successfully inoculated more than 75% of its population.
It has approved booster shots for frontline workers, and older citizens, but has mandated that the booster shot to be the same as the original one.
