Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, visited to holy places in Punjab today

On arrival of Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader from Delhi, Punjab President Minister Charanjit Singh Channi, party state unit chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, and Deputy Chief Ministers Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and OP Soni welcomed him at the Amritsar airport.
After arriving in Amritsar, he will pay his respects at the Golden Temple and partake in the langar with the party’s 117 candidates. He will also visit the Durgiana temple and the Bhagwan Valmiki Tirath Sthal.
The Congress has named 109 candidates for the Punjab Assembly elections on February 20. The identities of candidates for the remaining eight seats have yet to be released. Gandhi will address the “Punjab Fateh” virtual rally in Jalandhar’s Mithapur in the afternoon before returning to Delhi in the evening.
The Election Commission has continued the restriction on physical rallies and road shows in the five polling states, including Punjab, till January 31. On February 20, Punjab will go to the elections.
