Vehicle Submerges in Pond in Central Mississauga, Investigation Underway

A vehicle collision occurred this morning (July 17) in central Mississauga, resulting in the vehicle plunging into a nearby pond and leaving one person hospitalized with undisclosed injuries.

Peel Regional Police reported that the incident took place at approximately 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hillcrest Ave. and Clayhill Rd., near Dundas St. W. and Mavis Rd.

The police have not released the age of the male involved in the incident. He was promptly transported to the hospital, and the extent of his injuries remains unknown at this time. Authorities confirmed that there were no other individuals present inside the vehicle.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while the investigation continues.
