Following a fatal stabbing of a 40-year-old woman at her home in Surrey, British Columbia earlier this month, the victim’s husband, a 40-year-old Canadian-Sikh man, was charged with second-degree murder.
The accused, identified as Navinder Gill, was taken into custody by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) in relation to the stabbing.
Gill was first taken in as a suspect the night of the incident but was later released. He was then rearrested and charged with the stabbing of his wife.
