Brampton Drug Bust; 700 Gms of Cocaine Seized
A 33-year-old Brampton resident Jamaal Gayle, has been charged.
During a drug trafficking bust the previous week, a Brampton man is charged of drugs and firearms. More than 700 grams of cocaine were recovered from him during the investigation.
During the start of the fall, Caledon OPP said that the Caledon Community Street Crime Unit began its investigation on a possible drug trafficking in one of the communities of Bolton.
As per the police, they raided a home in Brampton on Wednesday, November 16, and seized 777 grams of suspected cocaine, a revolver with ammunition, 38 grams of suspected crack cocaine, suspected Benzodiazepine pills, and cash along with scales, and several cellphones.
A 33-year-old Brampton resident Jamaal Gayle, has been charged with the following charges –
Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine – two counts
Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking
Careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device, or ammunition
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
Possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm
Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5000
Resist peace officer
None of the allegations have yet been proved in a court of law.
