Captain Amarinder may become the next Vice President

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh is likely to be the NDA’s Vice Presidential candidate. This discussion has intensified after the Captain’s preparations to merge his party Punjab Lok Congress with the BJP. Captain has good relations with PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. It is being said that with the merger of the party, his name will be announced.
The Captain is currently in London for treatment. He has had surgery. He will return to Punjab in the second week of this month. The tenure of the current Vice President of the country, Venkaiah Naidu is ending on August 11. Before this, the Vice Presidential elections will be held on 6 August. For this, issuance of notification on July 5, nominations will be filled till July 19.
Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma on the question of making Captain the Vice Presidential candidate said that this decision has to be taken by the central leadership.
