Want to contest elections in Brampton? – Here is the detail

The City of Brampton is going to host an information session for the contenders of municipal elections on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, from 7 to 10 pm. The session will be providing an overview on the key requirements including information like campaign finances, key dates and resources, nomination and registration process, and candidate and third-party advertiser eligibility and responsibilities.

The candidate nomination period will be opening May 2 and closing on August 19 at 2 PM. Third party advertiser registration will be opening on May 2 and closing on October 21. It must be noted that next information session for nominated candidates and registered third parties will be held in September 2022. The date of voting is decide upon October 24.

The information session is being hosted in a partnership with the Ministry of  Municipal Affairs and Housing and will be a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting held in the Council Chambers in Brampton City Hall.
