FIFA World Cup 2022: Morocco-Croatia Match Ends in Draw
FIFA World Cup 2022 is currently underway in Qatar and Group F teams Morocco and Croatia ended their match in a draw. The two teams are joined by Belgium and Canada in Group F who will be taking on each other today. Croatia was the runner-up in the 2018 World Cup.
With Romain Saiss as captain, Morocco took on Croatia in the Group F match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Both teams were equally matched as neither was able to score a goal throughout the 90 minutes. Sofyan Amrabat was given a yellow card which was the only card handed out by the referee in the entire game. The team took eight shots at the goal out of which only two were on target. With 35.2 percent possession, Morocco gave 16 fouls.
Luka Modric at 37 years of age led Croatia in the World Cup match. This could be his last World Cup. The team followed the 4-3-3 formation and held its ground against Morocco. They got five opportunities out of which two were on goal. The team kept possession for 64.8 percent of the game and gave 11 fouls. Croatia came in second in the 2018 World Cup.
