From Bollywood to Opposition: All who wished PM Modi as he turned 72.

Wishes have been pouring in for the Prime Minister as he turned 72 this Saturday. Everybody from his fellow BJP politicians to Diplomats To opposition to international leaders have sent their warm regards to the PM.
To start off, President Droupadi Murmu extended her heartiest congratulations to PM Modi on twitter saying, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday. I wish that the nation-building campaign being carried out by you with incomparable hard work, dedication and creativity, continues to progress under your leadership. I wish that God bless you with good health and long life.”
Furthermore, Union Home Minister and PM Modi’s close confidant Mr. Amit Shah said in a tweet, “The life of the creator of a safe, strong and self-reliant New India @narendramodi is a symbol of service and dedication. For the first time after Independence, by giving their rights to crores of poor, Modi has instilled a sense of hope and faith in them. Today every section of the country is standing with Modi like a rock.”
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh tweeted, “Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the illustrious Prime Minister of India, Shri @narendramodi on his birthday. He has given unprecedented strength to progress and good governance in the country under his leadership and has given new heights to India’s prestige and self-respect all over the world. May God keep them healthy and live long.”
Deputy CM of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis wished him on behalf of all of Maharashtra tweeting, “Warmest wishes from the people of Maharashtra to the greatest leader Hon Shri @narendramodi ji, on his birthday today! Maharashtra wishes and prays for your very good health and very long life! #HappyBdayModiJi.”
Congress Minister Shashi Tharoor also tweeted on the matter, “Wishing our @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi ji a very happy birthday, good health & long life. May he work to remove the darkness enveloping so many of our fellow citizens & bring them the light of progress, development & social harmony instead.”
Opposition party AAP Leader Arvind Kejriwal, who has had a strained relationship with the PM, also congratulated him in a tweet saying, “Birthday greetings to Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji. Praying for your long and healthy life.”
Jairam Ramesh, in true politician fashion, took a dig at PM Narendra Modi even in his birthday post stating, “Our ideological and political battles against him continues. His personal vendetta against us intensifies. Even so, here is wishing and greeting our Prime Minister @narendramodi on his 72nd birthday.”
The warm regards and positive words of endearment also flew through B-Town
Bollywood actor Shahukh Khan suggested that PM Modi take a day off from his responsibilities as the PM tweeting, “Your dedication for the welfare of our country and its people is highly appreciated. May you have the strength and health to achieve all your goals. Take a day off and enjoy your Birthday, sir. Happy Birthday @narendramodi.”
Celebrated Bollywood Actor and a close ally of PM Modi Akshay Kumar tweeted, “Your vision, your warmth, and your capacity to work…just some of the many things that I find deeply inspiring. Happy Birthday @narendramodi ji. Wish you health, happiness and a glorious year ahead. “
Actor Ajay Devgyn followed suit by tweeting, “जन्मदिन की शुभकामनाये honorable Prime Minister @narendramodi Your leadership inspires and me. Wishing you good health and a great year ahead Sir.”
Actor, Director and Producer Karan Johar tweeted, “To the strongest pillar of our nation, leading our country to making an enduring mark on the world map – happy birthday @narendramodi ji!”
Veteran Actor Anil Kapoor posted alongside a few pictures of him a message that said, “A very Happy Birthday to the man who has put India on the world map in a way we could never have imagined…the harbinger of acche din, the leader of our proud nation. May you live long and stay healthy! @narendramodi.”
The wishes hailed from all over the globe.
Spiritual Guru and Leader Dalai Lama tweeted, “On the occasion of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s seventy-second birthday I have written to him to offer my warmest good wishes and prayers for his continued good health.”
Russian President Vladimir Putin, who recently had an interaction with the PM at the SCO summit in Uzbekistan refused to wish PM Narendra Modi in advance saying to the press,” I would like to wish India all the best. I also know that tomorrow, my dear friend, you are about to celebrate your birthday. As per the Russian tradition, we never offer Congratulations in advance. So, I cannot do that right now.”
