Gas prices seeing a steep decline in Southern Ontario

McTeague said, “These are pretty significant decreases on an unprecedented scale”

This weekend, again, the gas prices in the Southern Ontario are set to drop. According to an industry analyst, this is a ‘never seen before’ decrease at the pumps.

The cost of gas has dropped 12 cents per litre over the past two years.

According to Dan McTeague, the president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, On Saturday, a four month low is set to see a new record.

McTeague said, “These are pretty significant decreases on an unprecedented scale”

He also believes that this trend will be pushing through the weekend.

Another 2 cent decrease is expected on Sunday. However, the prices can snap back very quickly, as per McTeague.

He further added, “The reality is these prices, while welcome, could have nasty surprises for all of us in store.”
