It has been a watershed year for women empowerment in the armed forces, Said Consul General

Consul General Apoorva Srivastava, started her speech by wishing all a Happy Republic Day and further quoting some of the excerpts from the President’s Speech.

In her speech, she mentioned her birthplace in Kanpur and encouraged everyone to not forget their roots and people who help them attain success. ‘I believe, I have been able to reach Rashtrapati Bhawan only due to the blessings of my village’, she said.

She further added, ‘If all the successful people of India work sincerely for the development of their birthplaces, then the whole country will benefit from the outcome of such local developments.’

In her speech, she also expressed her gratitude towards the armed forced who guard the country in the unbearable cold of Himalayas and excruciating heat of the desert. She thanked the police for maintaining internal security of the country for the citizens to live peacefully. Consul General also granted her condolences to General Vipin Rawat and his wife.

‘I am glad to note that it has been a watershed year for women empowerment in the armed forces, our daughters have broken a glass ceiling and permanent commission has now been allowed for women officers in news areas’, she said.

Srivastava mentioned about AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV being celebrated on account of 75 years of independence and stated India as an ‘Ancient Civilization but a Young Republic’. She talked about the new opportunities that await the next generation and mentioned how the youth is setting new benchmarks of success.

“I’m sure that with this energy, confidence, and entrepreneurship, our country will continue to march ahead on the path of progress, and we will definitely secure its rightful place befitting its potential in the global community”, she said upon concluding the speech.
