Man Shot After Altercation Between Drivers in Scarborough, Suspect Arrested After Police Chase
The shooter was spotted by the officers on Highway 401 after he fled the scene. He was followed by the officers on foot and finally pulled over near Keele Street.
On Wednesday afternoon, two drivers got involved in an altercation near Bellamy and Ellesmere roads at Scarborough after which one of them shot another and flew the scene afterward, leaving the injured with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
The suspect then ditched their car on Highway 401 and ran across multiple lanes of traffic.

According to the police, two drivers were involved in an altercation near Bellamy and Ellesmere roads around 1 p.m.
Police Chief James Ramer tweeted, “Excellent police work & a foot chase at 401 & Keele today resulted in 2 arrests & one recovered firearm from this shooting incident between people in 2 cars in broad daylight and heavy traffic. Officers’ quick action prevented innocent members of the public from getting hurt.”
