Adding to the chill, wind gusts are expected to exacerbate the cold, making it feel significantly colder at times.

Cold but Snow-Free

While the temperatures are extreme, residents can take some solace in the lack of significant snowfall. Only minor flurry activity is anticipated during this period, allowing for relatively clear roadways and commutes.

Relief in Sight

The deep freeze will start to ease midweek, with temperatures gradually moderating. Thursday is expected to bring a high of -4°C, followed by similar conditions on Friday. By Saturday, the mercury may climb to -1°C, providing some reprieve.

Safety First

Residents are urged to dress in layers, cover exposed skin, and avoid prolonged outdoor exposure. Frostbite can occur within minutes in these conditions, especially when wind chill is factored in.
