New York City Subway Station Shooting Suspect arrested

Frank Robert James, aged 62, and was caught walking on the streets of Manhattan.

The man who was suspected of carrying out the mass shooting has been arrested. The suspect is named, Frank Robert James, aged 62, and was caught walking on the streets of Manhattan.

James is accused of firing the gun 33 times during the incident and faces a federal charge of terrorism on mass transit. Frank R. James was recently also seen in online videos about racism and violence.

Mayor Eric Adams said, “My fellow New Yorkers, we got him.” New York Police Department Commissioner Keechant Sewell, said, “We hope this arrest brings some solace to the victims and to the people of the city of New York. We used every resource at our disposal to gather and process significant evidence that directly links Mr. James to the shooting. We were able to shrink his world very quickly. There was nowhere left for him to run.”

James is known to have nine prior arrests in New York City and three in New Jersey. Before opening fire on the commuters, he first set off smoke grenades, due to which ten people were wounded by gunfire and another 13 suffered injuries related to smoke inhalation.
