After two days, the police have now released a detailed description of the suspect, however, it still doesn’t mention if the suspect is male or female. The identification released by the peel police quotes the suspect to have worn a three-quarter-length dark winter jacket with a hood, dark winter boots, dark pants, a dark winter toque, and white gloves. It mentioned that the suspect appeared to be smoking a cigarette. The suspect did not pull the hood up over their head until shortly before shooting the victim at close range.
In a press release, peel police mentioned that “Through extensive video canvassing and witness interviews, Investigators have determined that the suspect was on foot in the vicinity of the homicide scene three hours prior to the shooting, which occurred at a gas station located at the intersection of Creditview Road / Britannia Road.”

The police said, “during that timeframe, the suspect was observed crossing over Britannia Road east of the intersection and crossing Creditview Road north of the intersection. The suspect may or may not have visited this location in the past.”
Where a detailed but highly vague description of the suspect has been released, the information about Pawanpreet Kaur is not there. Parvasi’s team visited the site where the shooting took place, and upon talking to the staff of the gas station realized that the staff had gotten strict instructions not to disclose the victim’s identity. Where there were flowers kept in her memory a day before, they were also removed the next day.
The police are releasing no pictures or information about the victim.
