Relief to Kangana Ranaut from Punjab and Haryana High Court

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has got relief from the Punjab and Haryana High Court. He was to appear before the Bathinda court on July 14 through the police. Now till September 8, he has got relief from muscle pain. The High Court has asked the lower court not to do any hearings till the hearing is held here. There was a defamation case against Kangana Ranaut for her objectionable tweet about an elderly lady from Bathinda.
Kangana Ranaut had made a controversial tweet during the farmers’ movement. In which an elderly woman was called a woman going on dharna by Kangana for Rs 100. This woman was Mahinder Kaur, an 87-year-old farmer from Bahadurgarh Jandia in Bathinda. In response, he filed a case in Bathinda court.After 13 months of hearing, the Bathinda court issued a summons to Kangana to appear.
Kangana Ranaut mistook Mohinder Kaur, an elderly woman farmer involved in the farmers’ movement, as Bilkis Bano. Bilkis was the face of Anti-CAA Protest at Shaheen Bagh. Mohinder Kaur said in the petition that Kangana compared him with some other woman. He said that Kangana’s tweet caused him mental trouble. His image has been hurt among family members, relatives, neighbors, villagers and common people.
