Security increased around Moosewala’s Mansa residence after family received threats

Following threats to the family of slain Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, Punjab Police has tightened the security around his residence in the Mansa district of Punjab.
Punjab Police on Friday deployed more than 100 police personnel in and around Moosa village. Authorities, however, claimed that it was part of a ‘security drill’.

According to media reports, the police authorities are questioning every person entering the village regarding their purpose of visit to the slain singer’s village.
Dr Nanak Singh, SSP Mansa, when asked about the increased security, stated, “There is no specific security input. We are just having a security drill and nothing more should be read into it.”
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on 29th May 2022 in his home district of Mansa in Punjab, just a day after his security was reduced. Since, infamous gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar have taken responsibility for the murder.
