Sixth shooter arrested in Dera Follower murder case

Punjab Police on Sunday arrested the sixth shooter involved in the murder of a sacrilege-accused Dera Sacha Sauda less than two weeks ago.
The slain sacrilege accused, identified as Pradeep Singh, was shot dead by assailants on motorbikes while opening his dairy shop on Hari Nau Road in Kotkapura. A police escort as well as another person also sustained injuries due to the incident, which occurred early morning last Thursday.
Police authorities nabbed the sixth accused, identified as Ramjan Khan alias Raj Hooda, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav also informed that two of his accomplices, Happy Mehla (19) and Sahil Mehla (18), have both also been arrested.
DGP Yadav stated that Punjab Police collaborated with Central agencies and Rajasthan Police to carry out the arrest after receiving human intelligence about it. Ramjan Khan was arrested from his rented accommodation in Jaipur, where he, according to Yadav, became hostile and opened fire at the police.
Stating that the suspect has since been admitted to a hospital for treatment, Yadav said, “When police teams tried to arrest apprehend Ramjan, he opened fire at the police party and in retaliatory firing he got injured.”

Three days ago, Punjab Police detained three other suspects in relation to the murder case. Manpreet Singh alias Mani and Bhupinder Singh alias Goldy, the main shooters, as well as Baljit Singh alias Manna, who reportedly orchestrated the killing, were nabbed.
A Maruti Ritz car, a Jupiter Scooter as well as two pistols were recovered from the personal possession of Mani and Goldy.
Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar took responsibility for the murder. Brar is a close aide of infamous gangster Lawerence Bishnoi and was also involved in the murder case of Sidhu Moosewala.
Brar stated in the Facebook post in Punjabi that due to a lack of action by the authorities, he decided to take the matters into his own hands. He also expressed regret over the injuries sustained by the police escort in the same post.
