Teens Charged, One at Large in Brampton Electronics Store Robbery with Fake Gun

Yesterday (May 16), three teenagers are facing charges, while one suspect remains on the run, following an incident where they allegedly held up an electronics store using a fake gun. The Peel Regional Police reported that four suspects arrived at an electronics store near Kennedy Road South and Clarence Street in Brampton, armed with what appeared to be a handgun.

Three of the suspects entered the store and stole an undisclosed amount of property. They then proceeded to a nearby getaway vehicle, where the fourth suspect was waiting. However, within an hour of the robbery, investigators were able to track down the suspects in the area of Jane St. and Finch Ave. in Toronto. During the investigation, law enforcement discovered a replica handgun and approximately $50,000 worth of stolen property.

Authorities arrested an 18-year-old and two 19-year-old suspects at the scene. However, the individual believed to be the getaway driver managed to flee before capture. One of the suspects, Carlos Porter, 19, from Mississauga, had previously been released on a Recognizance Order related to ten counts of robbery. He now faces charges of robbery, using an imitation firearm, wearing a disguise with intent, and failing to comply with a release order.

Another suspect, Jaheim Brown, 19, from Toronto, is also charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm, and wearing a disguise with intent. Trey Richardson-James, 18, also from Toronto, is facing charges of robbery, using an imitation firearm, and wearing a disguise with intent.

The accused appeared in court in Brampton for bail hearings on Wednesday. It is important to note that none of the allegations have been proven in court.
