Vaughan Shooting: 73-year-old Francesco Villi Shot Board Members for their Ignorance
Francesco Villi has been identified as the man behind the Vaughan mass shooting that ended with six people dead. Villi reportedly targeted the housing board members because they failed to address his concerns regarding cleanliness in the building which affected his chronic health condition. He was one of the six people who died during the incident at a condominium building on Jane Street.
On Sunday evening, at around 7:20 p.m., a male gunman opened fire at members of the housing committee of a condominium building at 9325 Jane Street. He fatally shot five people before being shot by the police. The gunman was later identified as Francesco Villi, a 73-year-old resident of the building. According to reports, Villi was suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and had asked the building management multiple times to address issues related to dust and cleanliness.
