Viral Video: Bengaluru Couple Attempts Self Immolation Over House Demolition, Rescued

A couple in Bengaluru today stood in front of a bulldozer and threatened to set themselves on fire if their house was demolished, as the civic body removed structures illegally blocking the city’s drainage. In the video, they were seen splashing themselves with petrol and policemen and neighbours trying to pull them up.

After rescuing them, civic officials finally demolished a part of their home anyway. The couple was taken to the police station.
