Veer Das made history, won the International Emmy Award for Best Comedy

Famous stand up comedian Vir Das has created history by winning the Best Unique Comedy trophy at the International Emmy Awards 2023. Veer Das has received an Emmy International Award for the show ‘Veer Das Landing’ streaming on Netflix. Along with ‘Veer Das Landing’, ‘Dairy Girls Season 3’ has also received the Emmy International Award for Comedy. The competition between both was equal and both won this prestigious award.

It may be mentioned that earlier in 2021, Veer Das was nominated for the Emmy International Award for his comedy show ‘To India’, but then he could not win this award. Actress Shefali Shah for ‘Delhi Crime 2’ (Netflix) and Jim Sarb for ‘Rocket Boys 2’ (Sony Liv) were also nominated for International Emmy Awards this year.

The International Emmy Awards handle also shared the post on the X account with a picture of Veer Das. Talking about winning the International Emmy Award, Veer Das expressed his excitement and happiness saying, “This moment is truly surreal – an incredible honor that feels like a dream come true. Winning an Emmy for ‘Veer Das: Landing’ in the comedy category is a milestone not only for me but for Indian comedy as a whole.
