Police Close Chinguacousy Park in Brampton Over Unsafe Crowds, Fireworks

Peel Regional Police announced Monday night that Chinguacousy Park has been closed due to what officers described as large and unsafe gatherings involving fireworks.

Police said the closure took effect immediately and all individuals inside the park were ordered to leave the area.

Officers remain on scene clearing the park and conducting enforcement actions.

The park, located in Brampton, will remain closed until further notice.
