Two Injured in Violent Mississauga Home Invasion as Police Search for Multiple Suspects

Peel Regional Police are investigating a violent overnight home invasion robbery near Highway 401 and Mavis Road in Mississauga after two victims were injured and suspects fled the area.

Police said officers were called to the area at 1:28 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, for reports of a robbery and home invasion. The victims were taken to a local hospital, while the suspects left before officers arrived. Peel police listed the occurrence number as PR260176982.

Victims Taken to Hospital After Overnight Robbery

According to police, multiple suspects forced their way into a residence and fled with valuables. Investigators said two people suffered injuries during the incident.

Global News reported one victim, a man in his 40s, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while another man in his 60s sustained minor injuries. Police said weapons, including a knife and a firearm, were involved during the altercation.

Police have not released suspect descriptions. No arrests have been announced.

Investigators Reviewing Surveillance Footage

Peel police said investigators are canvassing the area and reviewing surveillance video as they work to identify those involved. Police have described the incident as isolated, meaning there is no immediate indication of a wider threat to the public.

The area around Highway 401 and Mavis Road is one of Mississauga’s busiest corridors, with residential neighbourhoods, commercial plazas and major traffic routes nearby. Police are now asking residents, drivers and businesses in the area to check any video recorded overnight.
