Man Wanted in Connection With Two Consecutive Hate Motivated Assaults in Downtown

Toronto Police are looking into two in a row suspected hate motivated assaults that took place in Downtown Toronto.

Toronto police say they are looking to identify a suspect wanted for two separate hate-motivated assaults in Downtown Toronto.

It was reported that the first incident took place on March 13, 2024 at around 12:24 a.m. in the area of Dundas Street East and Victoria Street.

Police reported that the victim walked past the suspect as he was standing outside an establishment. The culprit approached and assaulted the victim while uttering racial slurs, police added.

The other incident took place on March 15, 2024 at around 7:38 pm at Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue. The Police reports that the second victim was on board the subway at Bloor Street West and Spadina Avenue and the suspect deliberately bumped into the victim. And further added that as they were exiting the subway, the suspect assaulted them and called them racial slurs.

The victim was threatened by the suspect after producing a weapon. According to investigators, the suspect has been described as having a medium build, brown hair, and was seen wearing a green, hooded sweater, blue jeans, and beige Nike shoes.
