Surrey Police Service says a four-month drug trafficking investigation has led to charges against 24-year-old Gurjot Singh, the seizure of nearly $891,000 worth of drugs, and the removal of two other men from Canada by the Canada Border Services Agency.
Police announced the arrests, charges and seizures Monday following Project Phantom, an investigation launched in February 2026 by the Surrey Police Service Prolific Offender Unit.
Investigators were looking into several people believed to be involved in drug trafficking, including fentanyl, a highly toxic opioid linked to fatal overdoses across Canada.
Police said investigators gathered evidence of alleged drug trafficking activity connected to a Surrey residence. On May 21, 2026, detectives obtained a search warrant under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and executed it with support from CBSA, the Lower Mainland District Emergency Response Team and SPS frontline officers.
