DMC’s NRI Family Medical Care Plan Welcomed by Many

The “NRI Family Medical Care Plan” project of the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab, has been welcomed by many. For their parents, families, and other close relatives, NRIs can use this plan, allowing them to take care of all their medical requirements and unwind while working abroad.

‘I recently got to know about the ‘NRI Family Medical Care Plan’ from DMC&H, Ludhiana and I think this program can give peace of mind for so many NRIs like me, who are living far away from our families. I will defiently reach out to the concerned person to know more about the program,” said Kawaljeet Kaur, a 33 year old supply chain management consultant from Punjab, India.

A membership card containing the hospital’s contact information will be supplied to the participants in this plan. A hospital ambulance will pick up the patient from their house and transport them to the hospital to begin treatment whenever a member calls one of these numbers with a health-related need.

All patient treatment-related information will be routinely given to the NRIs. They will be informed of the condition on a regular basis so they may rest easy knowing they are receiving the best care available.

Harveer Dhillon who works as a marketing professional in mississauga since 4 years said, “I was told about this program by a friend and my instant reaction was a sigh of relief as my mother is father is 74 years old and I constantly think of his health. The patient will be transported home by hospital ambulance upon recovery and hospital discharge. A discharge statement detailing the full course of treatment provided and details regarding additional treatments or medications to be taken will be emailed to the Individual to update them on their current health.
