Himanshi Khurana, 30, Killed; Abdul Ghafoori Wanted for First Degree Murder in Toronto Homicide

Toronto Police have launched a homicide investigation after a 30-year-old woman was found dead in a downtown residence.

On Friday, December 19, at around 10:41 p.m., officers responded to a missing person report in the Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West area. The next morning, December 20, at approximately 6:30 a.m., police located the missing woman deceased inside a home. The death has been classified as a homicide.

The victim has been identified as Himanshi Khurana, 30, of Toronto. Police confirmed that she knew the suspect.

Authorities are seeking Abdul Ghafoori, 32, of Toronto, in connection with the case. Ghafoori is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder. Images of both the victim and suspect have been released to the public.

This marks Toronto’s 40th homicide of 2025.
