Chandigarh: Punjab Vidhan Sabha doesn’t have power to amend the Act, it can only pass a resolution to ask Central Govt to amend Act. But Punjab Vidhan Sabha has full power to pass its own Gurdwara Act as per SC judgement. Pb should come out of clutches of Center & pass its own Act. Phoolka said that the Supreme Court judgement fully empowers Punjab Vidhan Sabha to pass its own Gurdwara Act on the same lines as present Act. And it should ban Political Parties from contesting elections of #SGPC. Pb govt should not miss this opportunity. It should pass its own Act.
