Justin Trudeau Cheers Katy Perry at Montreal Concert Days After Dining Together
Just days after being photographed dining with pop superstar Katy Perry, former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau was seen in the crowd at her Montreal concert, adding fuel to growing speculation about the nature of their connection.
A video circulating on social media shows Trudeau clapping along as Perry performed during her Lifetimes tour stop on Tuesday night.
The sighting follows their private dinner at Le Violon, a Michelin-recommended restaurant in Montreal’s Plateau district, where the two reportedly spent two hours on Monday evening.
Restaurant spokesperson Samantha Jin confirmed the pair’s visit, describing them as “polite” and “low-key,” noting they chatted briefly with kitchen staff after their meal but otherwise kept a low profile. “There were no visible signs of affection,” she told The Canadian Press, emphasizing the relaxed tone of the evening.
Celebrity outlet TMZ, which initially reported the dinner, also released video footage showing Perry and Trudeau leaving a Montreal bar together later that same night.
Perry is currently touring Canada, with upcoming performances scheduled in Quebec City and Toronto. She recently confirmed her separation from actor Orlando Bloom. Trudeau, who announced his split from Sophie Grégoire Trudeau last year, stepped down from his role as prime minister earlier this year.
