Woman in Custody After Man Stabbed on MiWay Bus in Mississauga

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed aboard a MiWay bus in Mississauga early Tuesday, Peel Regional Police say.

Officers responded to the incident at around 1:50 a.m. near Hurontario Street and Watline Drive. Police said the stabbing occurred on a MiWay transit bus travelling through the area.

Female Suspect Arrested at Scene

Emergency crews initially transported the male victim to hospital in stable condition. Police later reported his injuries had worsened and he was listed in life-threatening condition.

A female suspect was taken into custody at the scene. Police have not released the identities of the victim or the suspect, and no charges have been announced.

Police Call Mississauga Stabbing an Isolated Incident

Investigators described the stabbing as an “isolated incident” and said there is no further threat to public safety.

Police have not disclosed what led to the confrontation or whether the victim and suspect knew each other.

A heavy police presence is expected near Hurontario Street and Watline Drive while officers continue gathering evidence and investigating the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
