Halton Police have arrested and charged Tejinder Dhaliwal, a 47-year-old Brampton man, following an investigation into sexual assault allegations linked to online job advertisements used to target women seeking employment.
Halton police say Dhaliwal used online “help wanted” ads to lure women seeking work, with investigators alleging a pattern of targeting females new to Canada. The investigation involves two separate incidents reported from March and December 2025.
Police allege Dhaliwal posted advertisements on Kijiji offering entry-level data entry jobs. After arranging interviews, Dhaliwal allegedly picked up the victims and drove them to isolated industrial parking lots.
According to investigators, one victim was sexually assaulted during an encounter. In a separate incident, another victim was allegedly offered job opportunities in exchange for a sexual relationship.
Police confirmed one incident occurred in Milton and the other in Halton Hills.
Following an investigation, officers identified Dhaliwal as the suspect. On January 26, 2026, Halton Regional Police officers located and arrested Dhaliwal in Brampton.
Dhaliwal faces two charges, including sexual assault and obtaining sexual services for consideration. Police held Dhaliwal for a bail hearing on January 27, 2026. He was released later the same day.
Investigators believe additional victims may exist. Police urge anyone with information or anyone who believes they experienced similar conduct involving Dhaliwal to contact the Halton Regional Police Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit at 905-825-4777, extension 8970.

Police remind the public sexual assault includes any non-consensual sexual touching, ranging from unwanted contact to acts involving penetration. No time limit exists for reporting sexual assault, and police encourage survivors to come forward at any stage.
